When to Present?

This year’s virtual conference will have two components. Primary presentations will be prerecorded, available for viewing before the conference begins. Secondary presentations will be live during the conference. Please consult the detailed program schedule.

Regular Presentations

Since the schedule is very tight, the time limits below will be strictly enforced. Be sure that the number of slides you have is not excessive for the presentation time.

  • Full length papers: Prerecorded, 20 minutes. During the conference, 7 minutes live oral presentation + 5 minutes (Q&A) = 12 minutes total time.
  • Short papers: Prerecorded, 5 minutes. During the conference, 4 minutes live oral presentation + 0 minutes (Q&A) = 4 minutes total time.

All papers will have dedicated pages for the prerecorded video and discussion boards, allowing participants to interact with authors asynchronously. Chat will also be available.

Session chairs will coordinate with presenters to manage the live talks.

Posters

We use the term “poster” loosely for this year’s virtual conference. Presentations should be about 9 to 12 slides. Each presentation will have a dedicated page, including a discussion board, available beginning about a week before the start of the conference. Breakout rooms will be available during official poster sessions. Keep in mind that for many authors, especially those in Asia, scheduled poster sessions are in the wee hours of their morning. We encourage all participants either to arrange private chats with authors or to use bulletin boards.
