The ACM/SIGDA International Symposium on Field-Programmable Gate Arrays is the premier conference for presentation of advances in all areas related to FPGA technology.

The presentations from this year's technical papers are now available online from at TC-FPGA (thanks to Andre DeHon for uploading them), and the full papers are available in the ACM digital library. The pre-conference tutorial slides and videos are also now available online.

This year's conference featured a full day of (dual-track) tutorials on high-level synthesis and higher level design flows for FPGAs on Monday, Feb. 11. The technical presentations of new research papers followed on Feb. 12 and 13.

Congratulations to Louis-Noel Pouchet, Peng Zhang, and Jason Cong of UCLA, and P. Sadayappan of Ohio State University for their paper Polyhedral-Based Data Reuse Optimization for Configurable Computing which received the best paper award. This paper described a new tool that can automatically and simultaneously perform loop transformations, on-chip memory buffering, off-chip data access re-ordering and design-space exploration within a high-level synthesis framework for FPGAs, frequently outperforming hand-coded RTL.

On the evening of Feb. 12, our expert panel discussed "Are FPGAs Suffering from the Innovator's Dilemma?" in a wide-ranging conversation on the state of innovation, and whether the high barrier to entry in the FPGA industry hurts innovation or helps innovation.
